Melissa (Mel) Pierce
Dental Assistant
Mel was born in West Covina and grew up almost next door in Azusa. Mel’s role as “Floater” has nothing to do with water buoyancy, Russian balloons, or things you tell the whoever is driving a basket in the sky over Napa. Mel’s a great fit for someone who’s basically there to help any and all who could use a helping hand; she flat out enjoys serving patients as well as her “stellar” team of co-workers.
Mel began her Dental Assistant training in 2018-2019; she graduated at the top of her class and was class Valedictorian, just in time for the Covid-19 pandemic. One of Mel’s goals for 2023 is gaining her Registered Dental Assistant certification.
Mel is committed to health and fitness; she’s practiced and taught yoga for 7 years. Mel also loves the outdoors, including camping, hiking, and cycling. Mel’s also a dedicated blood donor for City of Hope.
The favorite quote come from none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, “There is no substitute for hard work, and always being humble and hungry.” Mel’s core values include empathy, family, communication, and perseverance.
